Teeth Whitening

Is there any difference between going to the dentist for teeth whitening and a salon apart from the price?

When you go to have your teeth cleaned, and your mouth examined by a dental professional, you are being seen by a person who is trained in doing just that. Both the dentist and the hygienist are trained in the biology and physiology of your mouth and teeth. They know what is normal and what is not, and can tell you if your oral care at home is adequate, which is equally important as a professional cleaning. There is a reason for the existence of dental schools and dental hygiene schools. It takes time and resources to train the proper professional to do the proper work. I do not know to whom you refer by salon, but since you have only one mouth, and one body, the only answer that I can give you is to go and see a properly trained dental professional.
